Whether you’re vacationing in St. Pete Beach or live here year round, the area offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor fitness adventures. You can do it alone, or join a group. Whichever you choose, you’re guaranteed plenty of sunshine and a scenic course for your workout.
St Pete Beach Classic
If you’re a competitive runner, why not participate in St. Pete Beach’s own St. Pete Beach Classic? Offering both a 5k run and a 10k, the event is held every year in late January – just when the weather is starting to warm up (though it’s still chilly!) Also includes races for the kids too! Plenty of flat terrain as you chase down your best time ever on Gulf Boulevard.
Fort Desoto Park Trail
Featuring a 1-mile nature trail for hiking in the Arrowhead Picnic Area and a 6.8 mile recreation trail, this exquisite waterfront park features pristine Florida wildlife and plenty of spectacular sites. When you’re finished with your run or hike, go for a swim at the park’s beach. In 2005 Fort Desoto was named Dr. Beach’s #1 Beach in the United States.
